Born in the North-East of England, Adam was first published at the age of 12. After spells living in Edinburgh and London, where he studied Linguistics and Mythology, Adam started his career contributing to poetry magazines and graphic anthologies, before becoming an English teacher in 2011.

Following a decade of teaching and the death of his father, Adam decided to return to his dream of crafting intricate narratives, challenging the current perceptions of mental health and combining poetry with graphic storytelling and is now a freelance writer, illustrator and independent self-publisher in his native North-East.

Adam’s work is infused with the landscape around him, he uses symbolism and his own experiences of mental health as well as folklore to help create his stories.
